San José apartment complex damaged by two-alarm fire
On Thursday, August 2, 2012, just before 9:00 AM, units of the San José Fire Department responded to multiple reports of an apartment fire at 340 Auburn Way in West San José.
Upon their arrival firefighters were confronted with heavy smoke and fire showing from the exterior of a first floor unit with flames extending to at least two additional apartments. The fire appeared to have started on the patio of an apartment being used for storage by the apartment complex management.
At least three apartments suffered major exterior damage while two of those units had significant smoke damage. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze before it extended to additional units.
There were no reports of injuries to firefighters or civilians. Are you a member of the fire service?
