Four-Alarm San José Blaze Burns Two Homes, Leaves 12 Homeless
On Friday, February 26th, 2016, at 1211 hours, San José Firefighters responded to multiple reports of a residential structure fire in the 400 block of Auzerais Avenue just two blocks west of the Children’s Discovery Museum and across the street from San José Fire Department Station 30.
Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames showing from the rear of one home with fire extending to a neighboring two-story residential structure.
Firefighters were able to contain the majority of the fire to the two involved homes preventing the flames from spreading to adjacent structures, including the School of Visual Philosophy, a neighboring art school and studio.
There were no injuries reported and displaced occupants were assisted by the American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter. Assignment:
