Fire Damages San Jose Apartments
On Friday, January 7, 2011 at 3:06 PM, units of the San Jose Fire Department responded to a report of smoke seen from the eaves of a two-story, four unit apartment building located at 3796 Bertini Court in San Jose's Blackford neighborhood.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke showing from a first-floor unit with a confirmed working fire in the apartment's bedroom.
While firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the room and contents fire, crews made entry into the second-floor apartment directly above the involved unit and found fire had extended into the walls.
Firefighters were able to quickly locate any hidden fire using a thermal imaging camera and prevent theflames from spreading.
There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
