Two-alarm fire destroys South San José dental office
On Sunday, January 18, 2015, at 2:01 PM, firefighters of the San José Fire Department responded to 704 Blossom Hill Road for reports of heavy smoke showing from the one-story Cahalan Dental Center, home to numerous dental practices in South San José.
First due Engine 12 reported smoke showing from the station and advised heavy fire conditions showing from at least one office unit upon their arrival. Crews quickly made entry to a courtyard area and initiated an offensive attack on the blaze holding the majority of fire to a single unit with some damage to neighboring offices.
A second-alarm was struck summoning additional resources to the scene to assist with extinguishment, salvage and overhaul operations. No injuries were reported and firefighters were able to knockdown the majority of the fire within the first 20-minutes.ASSIGNMENT:
