Two-alarm garage fire causes heavy damage to San José home
On Monday, March 3, 2014, members of the San José Fire Department responded to multiple reports of a residential structure fire at 6029 Buchell Court in the Almaden Meadows neighborhood of South San José.
First due Engine Company 22 reported smoke showing while en route and confirmed a working fire upon arrival. Firefighters immediately attacked the fire from both the interior and exterior of the structure to prevent the blaze from spreading throughout the home and to adjacent structures.
Thanks to an aggressive fire attack the majority of damage was limited to the garage of the home and its contents. The owner of the home suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation and was transported to a local hospital for treatment. Are you a member of the fire service?
