Two-Alarm Fire Destroys Cupertino Home

On Wednesday, August 25 at 11:10 PM, units of the Santa Clara County Fire Department, under the direction of Battalion Chief Carol Miller, responded to structure fire at 10208 Cold Harbor Avenue in Cupertino, California.

Responding from the nearby Cupertino Station, first due Engine and Truck 1 arrived to find a one-story, single-family dwelling with heavy fire showing. A second alarm was immediately struck as firefighters worked quickly to protect neighboring structures.

One occupant of the home, an elderly woman, was able to escape the fire without injury. She was later transported to a local hospital for an unrelated medical condition.

Firefighters were able to knock down the bulk of the fire within an hour. There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
