At approximately 2:04 PM on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 units of the San José Fire Department responded to a report of a dwelling fire at 99 North Cragmont Avenue just blocks from Fire Station 2.
Prior to arriving at the scene smoke was observed in the area prompting a request for a full first-alarm response. Upon arrival firefighters discovered a portion of the structure well involved with heavy fire and smoke showing.
There were no reports of injuries. Units responding to this incident included SJS Engines 19, 21, 2 and 8; Truck 2, USAR 16, Light Unit 16, Brush Patrol 19, Battalion 2 (IC-Luna), and Battalion 1 (Safety-Hubbard).
