Fire destroys Cupertino home
On Thursday, February 18, 2010 at 3:18 AM, units of the Santa Clara County Fire Department responded to numerous reports of a house fire at 10132 Deeprose Place in Cupertino, California.
First due Truck 1 and Engine 1 arrived on scene within minutes of the initial dispatch to find a two-story home with fire showing from the B and C sides of the structure. A second-alarm was immediately struck as crews pressed an offensive attack while using an elevated master stream to provide exposure protection for an adjacent home.
As the fire progressed, Battalion Chief Carol Miller, ordered all companies to vacate the interior of the structure and transition to defensive operations. Firefighters were able to extinguish the bulk of the fire within 45 minutes. Are you a member of the fire service?
