Planned 3-Day Controlled Burn Cut Short Due to Fire in Henry W. Coe State Park
A wildland fire that broke out inside Henry W. Coe State Park on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, led to the cancellation of a planned three-day controlled burn at Joseph D. Grant County Park in the hills east of San José.
With CAL FIRE crews committed to the Coe Fire it was determined that the burn could not be conducted with only initial preparations completed before firefighters were called away to fight the 120-acre fire at Coe Park.
