San José apartment suggested by fire
On Thursday, November 20, 2008 at 5:15 a.m. the San José Fire Department confronted a greater alarm blaze in an eight unit, two-story apartment complex located at 923 Ironwood Drive.
Upon their arrival firefighters found one first-floor unit heavily involved with fire extending to the second floor. Firefighters were able to limit the spread of the fire before it swept through the common attic space.
The fire destroyed at least two apartments and sent one resident to the hospital with smoke inhalation. The American Red Cross responded to assist all displaced residents while firefighters worked to salvage apartment contents.
Units working this fire included Engine 26, Engine 13, Truck 13, Engine 3, Truck 3, and Engine 30.Are you a member of the fire service?
