Flames gut San José mobile home
On Saturday, October 26, 2011 at approximately 8:17 PM units of the San José Fire Department responded to calls reporting a mobile home fire on Lily Ann Way inside the Magic Sands Mobile Home Park on the city's south side.
Upon entering the park Engine 27 reported seeing smoke from the area. Further investigation revealed a fully involved manufactured home with fire showing from all sides of the structure. Exposures on either side were under immediate threat from the intense flames and heat.
The second due engine company was directed to support fire attack by stretching lines into position to protect an adjacent structure. It was decided that the mobile home was beyond saving allowing firefighters to assume a defensive strategy.
Battalion 13 (Diaz) struck a second alarm to augment resources on scene. There were no reports of injuries to civilians or firefighters. The home was a complete loss. Are you a member of the fire service? If you are interested in acquiring photos, please email me (email@example.com) and let me know what you are interested in.
