Two-alarm fire damages San Jose business
On Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:04 AM, units of the San Jose Fire Department responded to 9-1-1 calls reporting a fire at a commercial structure located at 991 Lonus Street near Lincoln Avenue and Interstate 280.
First due Engine 6 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire with heavy smoke showing from one corner of a large warehouse with offices located on Lonus Street. The fire appeared to have consumed a small structure built directly next to Western Roofing Supply with smoke and flames extending into the rook of the main building.
Firefighters were able to prevent the fire from spreading much beyond the original structure and a small portion of the roof. The fire was called under control at 12:21 PM.
Units assigned to this incident included Battalion 1, Battalion 10, Battalion 29, Truck 30, Truck 1, Truck 13, Engine 6, Engine 3, Engine 4, Engine 1, Engine 7, Air Unit 30, Med 30, Squad 18 and Squad 30.Are you a member of the fire service?
