San José home heavily damaged in two-alarm fire
On Friday, September 28, 2012, just before 7:00 AM, units of the San José Fire Department responded to reports of a structure fire located at 1689 Mulberry Lane.
While en route, Battalion 13 (BC Diaz) reported smoke showing from the area. First due Engine 6 arrived on scene and confirmed a working fire with flames showing from a large portion of the 2,422 square foot, single-story home's roof.
Firefighters from Engine 6 were directed to deploy their deck gun on the home's roof while other crews stretched and placed multiple handlines into operation.
Two residents of the home, a mother and daughter, were able to escape the burning structure thanks to functioning smoke detectors. There were no injuries reported. Are you a member of the fire service? If you are interested in acquiring photos, please email me (email@example.com) and let me know what you are interested in.
