Firefighters Extinguish Fire in Abandoned Structure
On Monday, July 26, 2016, at 0625 hours, San José Firefighters responded to a report of smoke issuing from a small building at 763 South Almaden Avenue in an area just south of Interstate 280.
As the first companies arrived on scene a working fire was discovered in the basement of a residential structure. Crews were able to quickly attack and contain the blaze preventing the fire from spreading beyond the fire building.
There were no injuries reported and companies were able to begin picking-up and clearing by 0715 hours.
