San José Firefighters corral two-alarm vegetation fire
On May 21, 2015, at 1:37pm, units of the San José Fire Department responded to the area between Remillard Court and Interstate Highway 280 for reports of a vegetation fire near the Coyote Creek Trail.
The first crew to arrive on scene confirmed a working vegetation fire, assessed the conditions and requested a TIER 1 (brush alarm) response summoning additional resources. As the fire continued to spread, bumping the freeway, a second alarm was struck.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire preventing any damage to nearby businesses and homes. ASSIGNMENT:
