Evergreen Home Heavily Damaged by Fire
On Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 1030 hours, San José Firefighters responded to 3581 San Felipe Road for reports of a residential structure fire.
Upon arrival the crew of Engine Company 31 reported heavy smoke showing from the rear of a 1,500 square foot home. Initial size-up confirmed a working blaze with fire showing from the B and C sides of the home as well as from under the structure.
An offensive fire attack was initiated with the bulk of the fire quickly knocked down. The structure suffered significant damage leaving five residents homeless. Occupants were assisted with shelter by the American Red Cross of Silicon Valley. Assignment:
