Two-Alarm San Jose fire leaves eight homeless
On Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 3:52 AM, units of the San Jose Fire Department responded to a report of fire in a four-unit, two-story residential structure located at 377 North Seventh Street in downtown San Jose.
Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire showing on both the first and second floors with flames extending into the attic space. Preliminary indications suggest that the fire may have started on the exterior of the structure.
Crews worked quickly to knock down the blaze and confirm that all residents had safely escaped the structure. Unfortunately eight residents were displaced due to fire and smoke damage. There were no injuries reported. Are you a member of the fire service?
