Fire in San Jose destroys vehicles and garage
San Jose firefighters spent over two hours battling and finally controlling a fire that torched multiple vehicles and the garage of a single-story, single family dwelling at 3199 Sierra Road on July 4, 2007.
First reports of a fire were received at 2:14 pm and quickly confirmed by Engine Company 19 en route as a large column of smoke rose above the neighborhood. Operations were carried out under the direction of Battalion Chief Cliff Hubbard (B2A). and Battalion Chief Stewart McGehee (B29A).
As the incident progressed at least two individuals were discovered to have suffered burns with one victim being transported to Santa Clara Valley Medical Center for treatment.Are you a member of the fire service?
