Three-Alarm San José Fire Injures One, Heavily Damages Home
On Sunday, January 3, 2016, at 1215 hours, San José Fire Department crews responded to multiple reports of a residential structure fire at 642 South 10th Street.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of the home with an injured resident in front of the structure.
Interior fire attack was initially hampered by intense heat and zero visibility, especially on the second floor of the home. Crews were able to knock down the majority of fire within the first 20-minutes, but firefighters remained on scene for several hours to contend with any hidden hotspots.
