New San Jose Fire Station Opens
San Jose FIre Fighters, contractors, and city employees spent Tuesday, November 9, 2010 putting the finishing touches on the new Fire Station 2 located at 2949 Alum Rock Avenue.
The station will be the permenant home of Engine 2, Truck 2, Light Unit 2 and Brush Patrol 2 pending apparatus upgrades.
Providing public safety service to the dynamic Alum Rock community, Station 2 is one of the city's busiest with over 3,500 calls for service during fiscal year 2007-08.
