Vacant Cupertino home destroyed in two-alarm fire

Just after 4:00 PM on September 24, 2004, a San José Police officer reported a fire in an abandoned home at 19160 Stevens Creek Boulevard in the city of Cupertino. Upon receiving the report the Santa Clara County Fire Department dispatched a full structure response to the scene and confirmed a working fire in a vacant single story residential dwelling.

As firefighters quickly assessed the situation a second-alarm was struck summoning additional personnel and equipment to the scene. Multiple lines were stretched and placed into operation to contain the fire from spreading to adjacent structures. There were no reports of injuries during this event.
