Santa Clara apartment destroyed by two-alarm fire
On Monday, June 11, 2012, just after 1:00 PM, units of the City of Santa Clara Fire Department responded to a report of fire in an apartment located in the 300 block of Wehner Drive. Upon arrival firefighters were confronted with heavy smoke and fire from a second story apartment.
The initial 9-1-1 call indicated that a resident was possibly inside the burning unit, but a search of the apartment was negative. Firefighters worked quickly to limit the spread of the flames and were successful in keeping the fire contained to one apartment.
There were no reports of injuries to either civilians or firefighters.Do you currently, or have you worked for a fire department?
