2006 Wildland Fire Training - Santa Teresa County Park
On Friday, July 14, 2006, San José Fire Department recruits participated in a day long wildland firefighting exercise at Santa Teresa County Park. The training included fire shelter deployment, hand tool familiarization, progressive hose lays, mobile fire attack, and water supply.
While SJFD recruits were put through their paces firefighters from various agencies assembled nearby for ignition operations training that focused on the use of firing devices and general firing operations and techniques.
