Santa Clara's Bravest limit fire damage to apartment building
On Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 6:13 PM, units of the City of Santa Clara Fire Department responded to multiple reports of flames and smoke seen from a second story apartment unit at 856 Monroe Street.
Arriving units found at least one apartment in the two-story building well-involved with fire beginning to extend to adjacent units. Firefighters conducted a primary and secondary search to confirm that all of the apartments were vacated and began their fire attack.
While roof crews opened up for vertical ventilation firefighters working the interior of the apartment units were able to quickly contain the blaze and limit damage to the structure.Do you work for a fire department?
