Units of the City of Santa Clara Fire Department responded to multiple calls of smoke coming from the attic space and roof of a vacant single-story office complex at 3600 Pruneridge Avenue at approximately 2:35 PM on Monday, July 10, 2006.

A second and third alarms were struck bringing mutual aid units from Sunnyvale Fire, San Jose Fire and Santa Clara County Fire to the scene. According to Department spokesman Dave Parker over 50 firefighters were required to finally extinguish the blaze.
